My lovely Brooklyn ladies

Eco- Fashion Movement

Man I wish wish wish I was able to take pictures in the FIT museum so you guys could have witness what I just did. But I couldn't so you'll just have to hear about this amazing exhibit via Rae... Ok so theirs a new exhibit in the museum at fit about the ever popular Eco Fashion: Going green movement. I know we're all familiar with what it means to "go green" but many are unaware of the fact that this term is also connected with fashion. Eco-fashion is just like everything else in the go green movement. The techniques, fabrics and processes are what make these clothes environmentally friendly. The Eco- fashion movement is identified by six themes: Re purposing and recycling of materials, material origins, textile dyeing and producing, quality of craftsmanship, labor practices and treatment of animals. The exhibit housed Eco friendly clothes that date back to the 1700's!!! They had a types of designers from Karl Lagerfeld during his Chloe days, Betsy Johnson circa 1960 and so on. Anyway I have a few pictures of the school and of the museum entrance. If any of you are in the New York area I strongly suggest you head over to FIT on the corner of 7th ave & W 27th to check this exhibit out. It'll be there until November 9th I believe.

FiRsT tiMe for eVeryThiNg

So yesterday was pretty productive. I had a free day so I went with my little cousin Sha to Medgar Evers (the college she'll be attending in the fall) to register for classes. It was a good thing I was there because they really weren't helping those poor frightened freshman. They didn't know what the hell to do lol. So me begin the expert schedule maker lol I helped my baby with a great schedule. Classes from 930-5 Tuesday's and Thursday's... Who had a schedule like that their freshman year? Nobody that's who!!! That gave me an idea, I know a lot of the time the counselors are really busy with helping students and could use the help so I think I'm going to try to get a job in the registrar's office to help Freshman with all their needs. I mean I know the ropes and lets face it I can't mess these chickies up anymore then they already are... Just something new I'm working on to make the world a better place... We'll see.

Meet the durls

My durls!!! We're always up to something -_- muhahahahahaha mischief, mischief *rubs hands* lol... I just wanted to introduce you guys to my loves... Nene, Star, Niecey, Laurie, and Sha

Quick Words

Hi guys... Once again I've neglected you guys and for that I apologize... School started a few weeks back and I've been super busy. No excuses though, I should never stay away from my baby this long. But any who New York has been amazing. I like my school, professors, program everything. I spend my days visiting museums, at the beach, walking the streets of Manhattan, simply living. This was a great move for me. I'm a happier soul here... Oh yea I passed my test with TSA and I'm currently in the process of getting my security clearance whoo hoo!!! I can't wait to start working so I can do what I do best SHOP lol... So yea that will be happening soon and then things will be that much better... Today I'm headed to Brooklyn to hang with my good friends Calvin who is here for North Carolina ... So I'm going to spend the day with him!!! I'll be sure to get the pics I have from my adventures in New York up by the end of the weekend... I wish you good times and good love this weekend. Until next time
